Meera read Philosophy, Politics and Economics at the University of Warwick. Following university she worked in the House of Commons for several years as Sir Edward Garnier’s Parliamentary Assistant and was the Executive Officer of Conservative Friends of India for one year. She was also on the core team of the Andy Street campaign, who is now the Mayor of the West Midlands. She now works for Andy Street as his policy adviser on:

She stood as a Parliamentary Candidate in the 2017 snap election in the constituency of Leicester South, against Shadow Health Secretary, Jon Ashworth. She has represented the United Kingdom at the Commonwealth Youth Parliament and was also the Assistant Editor of the magazine, Centre Write. In her spare time she kickboxes, runs and reads.
