Following Chancellor George Osborne and Indian Finance Minister Arun Jaitley's recent dialogue in London, Alok Sharma MP, co-Chairman of Conservative Friends of India, has been appointed as David Cameron's Infrastructure Envoy to India.
Mr Sharma will, according to the Chancellor and the Finance Minister's joint statement, act as the key contact between 1) the governments of India and Britain and 2) between Indian public and private sector infrastructure companies and British financial practitioners.
