Following Conservative Friends of India's national launch event on 24th April 2012, in which Prime Minister David Cameron, Lord Popat of Harrow, Stephen Hammond MP, and 200 members of our Party were joined by 1100 members of the British Indian community, CF India is delighted to announce that on Sunday 7th October we will launch the Birmingham branch of Conservative Friends of India at a hotly anticipated reception event a few minutes from the ICC Birmingham.
Conservative Friends of India Birmingham is the next step in making good on Conservative Friends of India's aim to be a grass roots, regional organisation that reaches out to the British Indian community right across the country. On 13th September, CF India held an inaugural Community Forum in the City, which generated a great deal of interest and enthusiasm for the Conservative Party's ideas and for Conservative Friends of India's programme.
CF India exists to build a stronger, wider and deeper relationship between theConservative Party, the British Indian Community and India. Birmingham is the UK's second largest city, home to 5.3 million people, and home to a diverse and vibrant British-Indian community. The Birmingham launch will be for the community, and will stress the values that British Indians and Conservatives share.
